I am 27 years old and started doing hair in 2009. Throughout my career, I knew I didn't want to "just do hair". I decided to stay on top of the latest trends for my guests behind the chair by attending classes. After attending many classes, I felt very inspired and saw how much education helped me grow as a hairstylist.
In 2017 I decided to become an educator to pay it forward and inspire other stylists. I am now a Redken Artist who educates and also a Redken brand ambassador. Since being a Redken Artist, I have made other accomplishments. In 2018 I was one of the winners for "Redken's Next Big Thing Contest" where I submitted entries showcasing my creativity on hair color and styling. The contest gave me the opportunity to do a photoshoot in LA with Bangstyle and be mentored by Redken's Global Artistic Ambassador, Sam Villa. I was also chosen as one of the "Top 30 Under 30" hair colorist for Beauty Launchpad magazine for 2018.
Although I love doing beautiful natural colors like balayage, my creativity flows more when working with vivid or pastel colors. I feel like working with a colorful palette allows me to put different elements of inspiration into hair. Most of my inspiration stems from fashion, art ,music and nature. There are a few painters who I have gotten my inspiration from. One of them is Amanda Sage. Her art speaks to me and I love the way she blends colors. I also get a lot on inspiration from music festivals. Not only for color, but for hair styles as well. I love doing braids and adorning the hair with interesting hair accessories.
I have always had a passion for hair but my passion grew the most once I started attending Redken classes. As a hairstylist, it is important to continue your education to stay on top of what is new. I attended many different classes from coloring techniques, hair cutting, finishing, product knowledge and even classes on growing your business. Every time I attended a class, I was excited to take my new skills or techniques into the salon. I quickly saw how much education was making a difference for me as a stylist and for my guest as well. My guest were leaving the salon much happier because they loved their hair and felt more educated on hair care and how to style their hair.
As a Redken Artist, my goal is to inspire other hairstylists to have the same experience with education like I did. Our motto is " Learn better, Earn Better, Live Best".
I am Redken Color Certified, Design Certified, and Balayage Certified. I also specialize in teaching social media to hairstylists who want to grow their business on social media and branding themselves. I'm based out of Arizona but also travel to teach.
I would love to help any hairstylist LEARN BETTER, EARN BETTER, LIVE BEST!
